English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
But the transgressors among them changed it for a word other than that which was said to them. So We sent upon them a punishment from heaven, because of their wrongdoing.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
تو ان میں سے جن لوگوں نے ظلم کیا (اُسے) ایک ایسے قول سے بدل دیاجو انہیں نہیں کہا گیا تھا۔ اس پر ہم نے ان پر آسمان سے عذاب نازل کیا اس ظلم کے سبب سے جو وہ کیا کرتے تھے۔

Mais les transgresseurs parmi eux ont changé la parole en une autre que celle qui leur avait été dite. Aussi, avons-Nous envoyé sur eux du ciel un châtiment à cause de leur mauvaise conduite.

Da vertauschten die Ungerechten unter ihnen das Wort mit einem anderen, als zu ihnen gesprochen worden war. Darum sandten Wir ein Strafgericht vom Himmel über sie hernieder ob ihres frevelhaften Tuns.

Pero los transgresores de entre ellos la cambiaron por una palabra distinta a la que se les dijo. Por ello les enviamos un castigo desde el cielo, a causa de sus malas acciones.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اس پر بنی اسرائیل میں سے ظلم کے مرتکب لوگوں نے اس قول کو بدل کر جو ان سے کہا گیا تھا‘ ایک اور بات[3] کہنی شروع کر دی۔ تب ہم نے ان پر ان کے ظلموں کی وجہ سے آسمان سے عذاب اتارا۔
مفسرین کہتے ہیں کہ انہیں کہا گیا تھا کہ وہ کہیں حِطَّۃٌ ہمارے گناہ گرجائیں مگر انہوں نے کہنا شروع کر دیا حِنْطَۃٌ حِنْطَۃٌ یعنی ہمیں گندم دو گندم دو۔ بہرحال فقرہ کی تعیین کی ضرورت نہیں اصل بات صرف یہ ہے کہ انہیں فرمانبرداری کے ساتھ شہر میں داخل ہونے کا حکم تھا اور اس کے مطابق دعائیں کرنے کا حکم تھا مگر انہوں نے استہزا سے کام لیکر بے ہودہ فقرے کہنے شروع کر دئے جس کی وجہ سے عذاب آگیا۔

مگر جو لوگ اُن میں سے ظالم تھے اُنہوں نے اُس بات کو جو اُن سے کہی گئی تھی بدل ڈالا، اور نتیجہ یہ ہوا کہ ہم نے ان کے ظلم کی پاداش میں ان پر آسمان سے عذاب بھیج دیا

But those who wronged among them changed [the words] to a statement other than that which had been said to them. So We sent upon them a punishment from the sky for the wrong that they were doing.
